The inaugural Southern Regional Easter Arts Festival was held from the 12th to 21st of April 2025. Nearly 12 000 people attended the wide array of activities on offer by nearly 300 artists, community groups, businesses, wineries and café’s including the following:

  • 25 open studios and gallery exhibitions in the communities of Albany, Denmark, Elleker, Kronkup and Mt Barker
  • 4 Venue Opening events
  • 14 Live Demonstrations and Workshops
  • 3 Market style events in Albany, Narrikup and Porongurup
  • 3 Paint & Sips events
  • An outdoor sculpture trail
  • A mural (completed June).

ArtSouthWA’s vision for the Easter Arts Festival was to provide an activity and tool that would support local events and let Easter visitors to our Southern coast know what arts events were on during the ten-day period (and longer in some cases).  The Festival was strategically targeting visitors who were already here.

The Festival actively engaged or helped promote the activities of nearly 300 artists. This includes those in galleries and home studios, musicians, market stallholders and other promoted events.

The Festival was financially supported by Albany Community Bank, Lotterywest, Regional Arts WA, Tourism WA, the City of Albany and the Museum of the Great Southern.
