Although Annette’s background is in performing arts, she has always had an interest in all things creative. During a period as an Arts Development Officer she dabbled in numerous craft pursuits including pysanka, origami, paper marbling, then finally finding her niche in all things beaded. Her beading work is now confined to preparing pieces for her exhibition in the annual Southern Art and Craft Trail. Annette loves the feel of glass beads and gains great satisfaction in designing and making eye-catching jewellery. Unable to avoid a bargain she has bought what her family describes as a scandalous amount of beads and findings. Much of her work now features semi-precious stones and intricate weaving using tiny beads added one by one to Annette’s current project.
