Bev uses traditional techniques of printmaking (both relief and intaglio), and drawing, to create her often very detailed artworks.
Swimming and beach walks are Bev’s reliable pursuits that free her imagination to develop her creative ideas.
She takes inspiration from the oceans but also enjoys encouraging the imagination and interpretation, of her viewers, with artworks commenting on our human ‘behaviours and engagement with our environment.
She enjoys exploring and experimenting within the broad scope of printmaking and her artworks usually require many stages of planning and development to complete. These journeys result in unique and complex works.
“I seem attracted to slow cooking and also slow art!”
With a formal background in art education, Bev is enjoying her ‘next career’ leading others into the world of printmaking.
An Albany Summer School printmaking tutor, Bev also offers small group printmaking workshops in her homebased studio. If you are interested in hearing of future workshops, please join her mailing list via her website.
Bev’s studio gallery is open by appointment.
She also sells her work during the Southern Art and Craft Trail, at exhibitions, and though her website, Instagram, and Facebook.
