Formerly recognised as ‘Bristle and Blue Gum’, Bronte has rebranded to share her art under her own name – Bronte Wilkes – to represent a professional shift in the direction of her work.
The essence of her practice is still much the same. Nestled in rural Mount Barker, Bronte navigates the delicate balance of motherhood and homemaking, while crafting captivating artworks in her private studio known as Little Art Space.
Bronte’s use of acrylic paint, posca markers and oil pastels breathes life into both small and large-scale floral compositions, creating vivid works that echo the natural beauty that surrounds her.
Through her art, Bronte invites viewers to explore the harmonious connection between nature, motherhood and the vast landscapes of her Western Australian upbringing.
