My art career began in Perth during the 1970’s as a Porcelain Painter & Teacher at various TAFE collages. I taught the Onglaze Cert. at Carine TAFE also lecturing in Drawing, 2D & 3D Studies Painting, Design & Drawing.
Since coming to live in Walpole W.A. I have been able to develop my art using many mediums, Porcelain, Painting, Ceramics, Watercolour Pastel, Acrylic and more recently Encaustics, taking me on a new and exciting journey from realism to abstraction.
The Dreamtime Stories of the Aboriginal People are a source of inspiration which I endeavour to capture in my art. The many photos of Birds and Nature I have taken provide the information needed to create. I paint to achieve an emotional connection with the viewer.
My journey with art is very important to me exploring new ways to portray a theme.
My artworks are in Private collections in England, USA, Germany, Australia & New Zealand.
My Porcelain Painting is in THE ART GALLERY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA in the public collection of craft.
The WESTERN AUSTRALIAN MUSEUM will have on display a handpainted Porcelain Bowl of mine in the Makers Gallery when the new Building opens 2020.
My artworks can be viewed at NORNABAR in Nornalup, PETRICHOR GALLERY Walpole or by appointment at my STUDIO/GALLERY at 80 Walpole Street Walpole contact 0499776279 or during the SOUTHERN ART & CRAFT TRAIL.
