Sam is a Muluridji (Australian Aboriginal) artist with ties to Koko Mini, Yirrganydji and Djabugay people of Far North Queensland. His style is his take on his traditional art from the Far North Queensland region.
His family also has Solomon Islander (Kanaka) ancestry and he also combines elements of the Australian South Sea Islander culture into some of his artworks.
He primarily paints in Acrylic on Canvas, however has recently begun his journey in Oil Painting.
Moving to Mount Barker in the Great Southern WA in 2022, Sam recently sold a number of his works through the Plantagenet Art Prize, held at Mitchell House Arts Centre, Mount Barker.
Primarily selling online, he will be exhibiting as part of the Southern Arts Trail in 2025 with his daughter Kamryn in their exhibition titled: “Old and New” at West Cape Howe Wines.
